Robert Edison from Cedar Lane, TX which is roughly 70 miles SW of Houston started exercising his great work ethic hand stacking hay bales and sod pallets at the farm. Once old enough to drive he then started hauling sand & gravel and eventually sod. But this work didn't provide enough income to support the lifestyle he wanted so he got another job as a store clerk. He worked his way through the ranks and eventually became the store manager. Although this was a great opportunity it did not satisfy his thirst for financial independence for he and his new family. Still having contacts in the sod industry, Robert went back into trucking this time with intent on extracting the highest return on his time invested. Needless to say, Robert found an individual that needed sod and had no idea how to get it. This was the start of what is now known as Brokers Grass!
